After 1 November, to be able to use Whatsapp you’ll need to be running at least Android 4.1 if on Android or at least iOS 10 if on iPhone. If you are an iPhone user you will automatically lose access on an iPhone 4 or older device.

If you’ve never updated your iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus or iPhone SE (2016), you’ll lose access until you update to at least iOS 10. However, all three mentioned models can be updated to iOS 15 – the latest version – and keep access to WhatsApp.
